London News NT Live Will Broadcast Alan Bennett’s Allelujah! This Fall The play opened at London’s National Theatre this past July.

Allan Bennett’s most recent work, Allelujah!, will hit movie theatres November 1 courtesy of NT Live after its successful run at the Bridge Theatre in London this summer.

Starring Samuel Barnett, Sam Bond, Jacqueline Chan, Sacha Dhawan, Patricia England, Tony nominee Deborah Findlay, David Moorst, Jeff Rawle, Cleo Sylvestre, and Gary Wood and directed by Nicholas Hytner, the play follows the elderly residents of Bethlehem Hospital, their caretakers, and their families as a documentary film crew comes in to uncover their stories. Bennett is the Tony-winning writer of The History Boys and received a Special Tony Award for his Broadway debut, Beyond the Fringe.
