The shortlist for the final publicly voted Magic Radio Audience Award 2016 has been announced. The already collected votes have seen Jersey Boys, Matilda The Musical, Les Misérables and The Phantom Of The Opera top the list.

This year there were 16 eligible shows, which were voted upon from which this shortlist emerged. The winner will be announced as part of the ceremony at the Royal Opera House April 3.

The shortlisted shows will perform on the ITV Stage in Covent Garden Piazza April 3, which will be live-streamed worldwide via the new Olivier Awards YouTube Channel.

In a press statement, Richard Allinson, Magic's Drive Time presenter, commented, "It has been fantastic seeing our listeners get so excited about the Magic Radio Audience Award. Competition has been fierce and there is a plethora of amazing West End shows featured. I cannot wait to see the final four gather in Covent Garden and wait with anticipation to see who the winner is."

The awards will be broadcast in the U.K. on the ITV television network, as well as on radio on Mellow Magic, a new digital spin-off of Magic.
