News The Creators of The Scottsboro Boys Talk About the Making of a New Musical (Video) Composer John Kander, librettist David Thompson, director-choreographer Susan Stroman and the cast of Broadway's The Scottsboro Boys talked to Playbill.com in between rehearsals earlier this fall.

To help celebrate the Oct. 31 opening of the new musical, we've packaged together three chapters of our documentary look at the show and the artists' process. Playbill video producer Mark Ezovski, special projects associate David Gewirtzman and writer Kenneth Jones contributed to these reports.

With music and lyrics by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, The Scottsboro Boys plays the Lyceum Theatre.
