The Norworth Theatre opened on January 28, 1918, under the management of actor and producer Jack Norworth. Two years later, under the name Belmont Theatre, Philip Barry made his Broadway debut here with his play You and I. The Norworth Theatre was demolished in 1951, as a movie theatre, to make room for commercial developments.
